- An international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms ofevaluation. - DHHS - Assistant Secretary for Planning & Evaluation
- The Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation is responsible to the Secretary for policy analysis and advice, policy development, strategic and implementation planning, and for the coordination and conduct of evaluation and policy research. - ERIC - Educational Resources Information Center

- Policy Information Center - Dept. HHS
- HHS Program Evaluation. The HHS Program Evaluation Abstracts were developed by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (OASPE), which oversees program evaluation in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Over 7000 studies are described here, the oldest dating back to the early 1960's. However, the collection is most complete for studies conducted in the 1980's and 1990's. It contains abstracts on in-process, completed, and on-going health and human services evaluations; short-term evaluative research; and policy-oriented projects conducted by HHS as well as by other federal departments and agencies, and the private sector. The HHS Program Evaluation Abstracts Collection is maintained by the Policy Information Center (PIC) within OASPE.
- Project STAR
- Project STAR (Support and Training for Assessing Results) received a contract from CNS to provide free evaluation assistance to all interested AmeriCorps National/State programs and Learn and Serve America: Higher Education programs. STAR consists of a group of evaluation professionals who are available to provide a wide variety of evaluation assistance.

General Evaluation Resources - A Review of Evaluation Resources for Nonprofit Organizations
- Canadian Center for Philanthropy. Includes reviews of fourteen evaluation manuals for nonprofits. General reviews of these resources are provided as well as a summary of their strengths and weaknesses. Organized according to the particular evaluation method that they employ. - CDC Evaluation Working Group

Has an evaluation section that includes practical tools that you can use to evaluate community-based programs; information on how community programs can be sustained and assessments of organizational support for work in the areas of children, youth and families. - Harvard Family Resource Project. A newsletter about the importance of evaluation. Includes information such as the theory and practice of developmental research and the basics of designing logic models. - GAO Report on Government Agencies that have Incorporated Program Evaluations in their Operations. 36 pp., 2000.
- Report of results from agencies that used program evaluations. Indicates that evaluations helped agencies improve their measurement of program performance or understanding of performance as well as actually improving the program. Includes descriptions of the programs analyzed in the study.
