In the spirit of Thanksgiving, United Way partners with the National Football League to inspire NFL fans and United Way donors across the country to get involved in their communities during the annual Thanksgiving Halftime Show. Graciously hosted by the Detroit Lions, the halftime show features entertainers and celebrities who volunteer their time to this unique media event.
Since 1998, this show has featured live performances by some of the country’s hottest entertainers including Mariah Carey, Jesse McCartney, Mary J. Blige, Bon Jovi, the Goo Goo Dolls and John Mellencamp.
The 2009 show will air during the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game on November 26, which airs at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
