The following hotels have availability for the conference dates.  When calling to reserve a room, tell them you are with United Way conference to receive the following rates.  Please note, these hotels are located in Alexandria , 4 miles from the Gaylord National and you will need transportation to/from the Convention Center Hotel.  A shuttle will not be provided.

Although we are providing another option for housing, we encourage you to support United Way Worldwide and book within the official Gaylord National hotel block.

• United Way Worldwide has negotiated reduced rates.
• United Way Worldwide gets credit for rooms booked.  These credits are used to help offset event expenses.
• If there are any conference-related events that occur offsite, United Way Worldwide provides and pays for transporting attendees from the conference hotel.  You would need to arrange your own transportation from other hotels.
• The hotel contracts include clauses that protect you in case of extenuating circumstances such as acts of God, etc.   They also include clauses that require United Way Worldwide to pay for hotel rooms that we book on your behalf but are not filled.  Unfilled rooms could cost United Way Worldwide hundreds of thousands of dollars.
• Everyone is under one roof and provides for plenty of networking.
