2010 United Way Mobilize for Impact Conferences

Come to our nation’s capital March 15–20 to rally with others across the country who are leading the charge to mobilize and engage our communities to advance the common good.  Explore the roles that we all play in becoming powerful change agents who live united every day.
  • The United Way Staff Summit takes place noon Monday, March 15, and will end by noon on  Wednesday, March 17.  The Summit will focus on training and United Way staff development in the areas of marketing and brand strategy, resource development, community impact, and diversity and inclusion.  If you’ve attended a United Way Brand Forum, Major and Planned Giving Institute, or Inclusion Roundtable in the past, you won’t want to miss this chance to learn and network with your functional colleagues while addressing complex issues collectively.  We also encourage you to add a day and participate in Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill (March 18).
  • The United Way Community Leaders Conference (CLC) takes place Thursday, March 18, and will end by noon Saturday, March 20.  This year’s CLC will kick off with system-wide direct advocacy on Capitol Hill and continue with learning and networking for CEOs, board leaders, key volunteers and community partners.

Why should you attend?
  • Be challenged by a diverse group of thought leaders on what it takes to mobilize communities and implement lasting change
  • Network with your peers and share some of your lessons learned
  • Learn about and share best practices for tackling some of our shared challenges, and discuss collaborative ways to face these issues
