About Us

Existing for more than 30 years, Leadership 18 is the coalition of the country’s largest and most well respected human development non-profit CEOs.  Leadership 18 members represent national organizations that support local affiliates, members and chapters serving over 87 million people annually, with the help of dedicated full time staff and over 5.5 million volunteers.  The mission of Leadership 18 is to provide a forum for a select group of the largest human development non-profit CEOs to improve strategic leadership and inspire collective action to improve people’s lives and the conditions in which they live.

Leadership 18 leverages the power of the member organizations to influence policy, service delivery and public opinion about some of our nation’s most pressing human development issues.  Priorities for Leadership 18 are set at biannual meetings, but include Gulf Coast long-term recovery efforts, economic and financial self-sufficiency, and important issues in health and human services that affect all participating organizations.
