The U.S. National Board of Trustees meets four times a year and takes responsibility for governing the United Way System within the United States particularly focusing on strategic leadership, resource and relationship development, stewardship of national and system assets, performance measurement and management, reputation building, and public policy and advocacy.
Ann Stallard,

Ann Stallard, a successful businesswoman for over 30 years, is the Chief Executive Officer of Graphic Communications Corporation, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. In 1976, Ms. Stallard joined Graphic Communications Corporation, which is a full service commercial printing company. The company now occupies a 66,000 square foot building and has grown to be one of metro Atlanta’s top high-tech printing companies.
Ms. Stallard has been recognized often for her entrepreneurial leadership in Metropolitan Atlanta through articles in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, Business Atlanta Magazine, Georgia Trend Magazine, Atlanta Woman and The Atlanta Business Chronicle. The US Small Business Adminstration named Ms. Stallard as "Georgia's Women-In Business Advocate of the Year." She has served on the White House National Initiative on Women’s Business Ownership Task Force and, she was the first businesswoman to be elected National President of the YWCA in 1991, serving until 1996. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, a former member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Task Force on Small Business and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. She was elected to serve on the United Way U.S. National Board Board of Trustees, in 2006, and elected Chairman of the board in May of 2009. She was member of the board of directors for United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, and co-founded Women’s Legacy of United Way in 1999. Ms. Stallard has served on the global board of the World YWCA in Geneva, Switzerland (1996-2004), where she chaired the world nominating committee. The Atlanta YWCA selected Ms. Stallard as A Woman of Achievement in 1995.
Ms. Stallard is an active member of the Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) and Graphic Communications Corporation is a long-standing member of the National Association of Printers and Lithographers (PIA). The company and Ms. Stallard have been awarded top honors for outstanding print performance by both organizations. She is also an advisor for the Atlanta Women's Network and former board member of the Visiting Nurses Health Services of Georgia. Ms. Stallard served as President, Vice President and on the board of directors of Women Business Owners of Atlanta (now NAWBO, Inc.).
Ms. Stallard is an active public speaker and published author on entrepreneurship, volunteerism and civic engagement especially on the issues of diversity, economic empowerment for women and the needs of children around the world.
A native of Wise County, Virginia, Ms. Stallard is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she was selected as the Outstanding Alumna, 2001. She is also a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church and one of the creators of the church’s Public Policy Network. The YWCA of Greater Milwaukee named a building that houses families in her honor to recognize her support of affordable, safe housing. Along the way she has helped raise six chidren.
